Bathgate driving test route information.
You must not access these resources whilst the engine is on, and you are either the driver or the supervising driver. For you, it could be 6 points, a fine and massive increases in insurance premiums for many years. For someone else, it could be a life altering injury or death. It is never OK to use a device whilst driving or supervising someone.
Pull up somewhere safe and engine off!
Where will the new test centre be?
The new test centre will be located within the Road Haulage Association building at Clydesdale House, 16 Blackburn Rd, Bathgate, West Lothian, EH48 2EY.
When will the test centre open?
We don’t know exactly but it could be anytime from October/November 2026 until the end of the year. Any outstanding Livingston test centre tests will be transferred to Bathgate.
Is it OK to go into the test centre?
Absolutely not.
Various tests can be coming and going throughout the day. It is of paramount importance that these tests are not interfered with or impacted by anyone.
The building is shared with the Road Haulage Association. Please respect them and test candidates by not entering.
Are all the routes here?
No, but they will be.
As you can see, there’s none at all at the moment but watch this space…
What roads could you practice?
All non-motorway roads within a 15-18 minute drive of the test centre will potentially be included. Bathgate, Blackburn, and a few surrounding country roads would be a good place to start.
